About

Tezzeret’s Toolbox was created with one simple goal: to make Magic: The Gathering a little easier to learn, build, and enjoy.

Magic is a huge game. Between thousands of cards, new sets, different formats, deckbuilding strategies, and rules interactions, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed—especially when you’re just getting started.

This site is my way of putting together the resources I wish I had when I was learning.

Here you’ll find beginner-friendly guides, Commander deckbuilding advice, deck ideas, printable references, MTG news, collection resources, and other useful tools designed to help players better understand the game and build decks they actually enjoy playing.

The name Tezzeret’s Toolbox comes from my own interest in artifact decks and one of my favorite characters in Magic, Tezzeret. The idea of a toolbox also fits what I want this site to become: a place where Magic players can find the right tools for whatever they’re working on.

I’m not here to pretend I know every card or have every answer. I’m a player who enjoys learning the game, experimenting with decks, discovering new interactions, and sharing what I learn along the way.

Whether you’re choosing your first Commander, trying to improve a deck, looking for a useful reference, keeping up with Magic, or simply searching for your next card, I hope you’ll find something useful in the Toolbox.

PS. Bare with me, this is also a new project (Oct. 13, 2026)
